ANAHEIM, Orange County — October 23, 2026. Anaheim’s municipal ballot on November 3 features an at-large mayoral election and City Council seats in Districts 2, 3 and 6. Each office listed by the City of Anaheim’s election office has a four-year term. Residents should check their council district before comparing candidates: the mayor’s race is citywide, but a voter does not vote for council seats outside their district.
What does the official candidate list show?
The city’s qualified-candidate list identifies Ashleigh Aitken, Imran Sharief and Alfredo Rodriguez in the mayoral contest. The city lists Carlos A. Leon for District 2; Elia Renteria-Garcia and Natalie Rubalcava for District 3; and Natalie Meeks for District 6. Being the sole name listed in a municipal election guide is not a substitute for official election certification. Voters should read candidates’ own statements and campaign disclosures rather than rely on slogans or social media graphics.
Which Anaheim vote centers open October 24?
According to Anaheim’s published county voting-location guide, these 11-day vote centers are scheduled to open Saturday, October 24: Downtown Anaheim Youth Center, 225 S. Philadelphia St.; East Anaheim Community Center, 8201 E. Santa Ana Canyon Rd.; and West Anaheim Youth Center, 320 S. Beach Blvd. The listed hours are 10 a.m.–6 p.m. through November 2 and 7 a.m.–8 p.m. on November 3. Additional 4-day sites begin opening October 31. Check the Orange County Registrar of Voters for location changes and accessibility details.
What’s different about the remaining deadlines?
The ordinary voter registration deadline was October 19. Eligible voters who missed it may be able to complete conditional registration and voting through Election Day. The city’s election calendar also identifies October 22 as the second pre-election campaign-finance reporting deadline. That makes campaign filings and official candidate statements particularly relevant material to review now.
How to make sure your ballot is counted
Seal and sign the return envelope if voting by mail; an unsigned envelope can trigger additional verification steps. The Secretary of State advises mailing at least seven days early if possible. You can also use an approved ballot drop box or vote center, and follow the ballot’s progress using Where’s My Ballot?. Election Day in-person voting ends at 8 p.m.
