ANAHEIM — November 2, 2026. Anaheim’s official public library schedule includes Veterans Day and Thanksgiving closures during November 2026, affecting borrowers who need to visit a staffed branch.
November exceptions
All Anaheim libraries are listed as closed Wednesday, November 11, for Veterans Day. The system says branches will close at 5 p.m. on November 25 and will be closed November 26 and 27 for Thanksgiving.
Use the correct branch schedule
Central Library normally opens Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and also offers weekend hours. Other locations, including the Ponderosa Joint-Use Branch, have very different hours. The published holiday calendar overrides normal opening times.
Before arranging a visit
Borrowers should check their due dates and ask about digital renewals, return slots and account access before the holiday. A self-service book machine may have separate transit-center hours, which are not equivalent to staffed service.
